'MunchBasket was born from a vision to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Moretti family in 1985, we began as a quaint, family-owned shop rich in tradition passed from one generation to the next.
Luca Moretti, our pioneer, mastered her pizza-craft while exploring Italy, learning from renowned Neapolitan pizza chefs. Back in the UK, her mission was to replicate the quintessential Italian pizza experience, employing age-old methods and selecting only prime ingredients.
Starting as a cozy 12-seat venue, we've expanded into a cherished local establishment while upholding our steadfast promise of quality and genuineness. Our practices have stood the test of time: we fire our ovens with wood, prepare our dough freshly each day, and continue to procure the finest produce available.
Maintaining its family roots, 'MunchBasket is now steered by the second-generation Morettis, leading a team of devoted staff. Though we've incorporated a few contemporary updates, our core principle remains unchanged: crafting delectable, genuine pizza that gathers friends and family.
